All training experiences required to complete mandatory RANZCP requirements are available at Barwon Health , including Adult Psychiatry (5 positions), Youth Mental Health (3 positions), Child and Adolescent Mental Health (2 positions), Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry (2 positions), Addiction Medicine , Aged Psychiatry , Primary Mental Health , Indigenous Mental Health , Eating Disorders , Psychotherapy and Private Clinic Based Psychiatry.. Positions are all suitable for basic training , and individual packages and placements are developed for advanced trainees in collaboration with the Regional Director of Training.. Barwon Health Mental Health Services has a 32-bed acute inpatient unit , a 6-bed PARC facility and a 12-bed continuing care unit.. Applicants must have general medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible for the AMC competent authority pathway. Applicants who have been accepted for training by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or who are current trainees will be given preference over general applicants.. We will consider applications from candidates overseas seeking specified Specialist Training (see http://www.ranzcp.org/Pre-Fellowship/Overseas-specialists/Specified-Training.aspx ).. Other overseas candidates following the AMC exam pathway will not be considered unless they have completed the AMC MCQ, AMC Clinicals and will have completed their intern placements by February 2014.. Exemption candidates wishing to apply must already have completed the AMC/College assessment process and should submit their College assessment letter along with their application.. Existing trainees wishing to transfer to Barwon Health must submit their College training transcript with their application..
